The Serious Incident Response Team has released its report after an investigation into a vehicle crash near Weston last July.

It was followed by an RCMP officer who backed off when the car sped away at 165kph on Highway 101. Two kilometres later the car flipped several times, ejecting the driver and a passenger.  One was very seriously injured.

SIRT investigator Ron MacDonald said that there are no grounds to consider any charges against the police officer.

The Yarmouth and Acadian Shores Tourism Association is making a bid for the cross-country nationals running event.

YASTA says could have more than 500 competitors at the Yarmouth golf course.

The cross-country nationals are held in the same place for four straight years.

YASTA wants to have them in Yarmouth from 2019 to 2022.
