A Halifax lawyer says it’ll be months before a judge decides whether to grant class-action status to a lawsuit he has launched over contaminated medical marijuanna.

Ray Wagner is suing Canopy Growth and its subsidiary Mettrum over medical marijuanna that was recalled because of pesticide contamination.  Wagner says the lead plaintiff suffered severe nausea and vomiting for six months while taking Mettrum products to deal with symptoms of an injury.

The Canso area could soon be home to Canada’s first commercial spaceport.

Maritime Launch Services says it assessed 14 potential locations across North America and settled on a site near Canso to launch the Ukrainian-built Cyclone 4-M rocket into space carrying commercial payloads like satellitess.  M-L-S is optimistic it can break ground within a year and launch its first rocket in 2020.  It says that by 2022, it plans to launch eight rockets a year.

Municipal officials welcomed the news and said having a spaceport there will boost tourism as well.
