Wolfville incident

A Wolfville man will remain in custody for now after being denied bail in court.

60 year old Tracey Donald Dodds is facing charges of sexual assault, unlawful confinement; extortion, and other counts in connection with incidents between February 13th and March 7th in Wolfville.  A trial date has been set for March 30th.

High-risk offender warning

The RCMP are warning of the release from prison of a sex offender considered a high risk to reoffend.

The Mounties issued a news release advising residents, particularly in the Halifax and Yarmouth areas; about the release from the prison in Renous of 36 year old James Andrew MacKay who was serving a sentence for sexual asault and other offences.  He has a violent criminal record dating back to 2000.  The violent offences he was convicted of were in the context of intimate relationships.
