NS RCMP win award for “Cop Light Bling” parody video

Nova Scotia RCMP have won an award for their humorous social media campaign designed to raise awareness of the move-over law.  The “Cop Light Bling” music video debuted last April, a parody of rapper Drake’s “Hotline Bling”.  For it the force got the ConnectedCOPS Award for Social Media Campaign Management yesterday at an international symposium in California.

NS RCMP preach calmness behind wheel

Nova Scotia RCMP are asking you to stay less stressed while driving in order to prevent aggressive driving.  They specifically pointed out speeding, of which they laid 22,243 charges in 2016.  Stunting saw 124 charges.  Getting caught speeding could get you a $2422.50 fine and week-long suspended license.
