Due to insurance issues, the Wharf Rat Rally can no longer use the Digby-Annapolis Regional Airport runway.

Digby Municipal Council says that the property’s insurance does not cover hosting events there, and that would be a risk to the municipality.

Wharf Rat Rally executive director Laura Simmons says it was a far away location, and they’re now planning an alternative event downtown instead.

47 year old Thomas Edward Davidson of Centreville, who was up on two counts of voyeurism has had his name cleared in Kentville court as the Crown withdrew both charges.

Davidson was accused of surreptitiously taking photographs for a sexual purpose, involving two alleged victims; both women, in New Minas; last August.
