$1 million in federal funding has been announced for Sustainable Fish Farming Limited. The Centre Burlington company is building a 300 metric tonne land-based, saltwater grow-out facility, which will bring the company’s total capacity to 500 metric tonnes and enable production of Atlantic salmon year-round.

Emergency Services Provider Fund offering up to 75% of equipment cost from 50%
The province’s Emergency Services Provider Fund is now offering up to 75% of the cost of eligible equipment. It provides up to $20,000 every three years for fire departments, ground search and rescue groups and hazardous materials teams. Applications are open until June 9th.
