Amendments to the Municipal Government Act have been introduced. Municipalities will be required to begin posting expense reports, hospitality expense reports and annual summary reports as early as September 30th. Municipal Affairs Zach Churchill says the amendments provide consistency for municipalities, and support them in being more transparent.

OHS Act changes coming in June
Changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Act will take effect June 12th. They better define when, how, and what injuries and incidents must be reported. They also give the government more tools and authority to enforce safety requirements on those breaking regulations.
