Man Robbed and Stabbed in Downtown Halifax

Police are looking for two suspects after a man was robbed and stabbed in downtown Halifax overnight. The 56-year-old victim was discovered outside police headquarters around 2:45am this morning. Police say he had been walking in the area of Gottingen Street and Cogswell Street when he was approached by two men. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet and stabbed him in the arm and stomach. The victim was taken to hospital. Police say they are looking for two suspects; a white man in his late teens; and a whit man in his thirties with a bald head.

Court Martial Tomorrow for Accused in Aldershot Incident

A former Canadian soldier faces a court martial Monday on charges including striking a superior officer. Retired Corporal Garett Rollman is charged in incidents alleged to have occurred in February 2016, when he was still an active member, in Aldershot, Nova Scotia. The former reservist also faces two charges of “conduct to the prejudice of good order and discipline.” They include uttering a racial slur and acting in an intimidating manner.
