A woman was taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash south of Kentville yesterday morning.
A car and a pickup collided at Highway 12 and English Mountain Road in casey’s Corner. A passenger in the truck was taken to hospital. The drivers of the pickup and the car didn’t require hospital treatment. RCMP are still investigating.
A Westville man will be going to a federal prison for beating his wife and a police officer.
Steven James MacLeod pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife, assaulting police, resisting arrest and other counts in connection with a domestic assault in March last year at his home on Diamond Street in Westville. The judge gave him two years.
