NS election poll

It could be a very close election.

A new poll by Forum Research shows the Liberals and Conservatives very close at 37% and 35% respectively, a statistical tie.  The NDP are at 25%.

Metro reports the Forum Research poll also showed 78% of the respondants said they were absolutely certain they will be voting, barring some unforeseen emergency.

Waterville blaze

Flames caused significant damage to a home in Waterville yesterday afternoon.

The fire, which was spotted by a passerby, apparently started in the laundry room, and may have been electrical.  They’re still trying to confirm the cause.  Nobody was home at the time and no one was hurt.
