An Ontario couple charged with theft in Sydney couldn’t appear in court Thursday because they’re jailed in New Brunswick. Grigori Zaharov and Natalia Feldman face theft over $5000 for an incident last October at People’s Jewellers. They’re accused of thefts in multiple areas, with an update on the local case coming in the next few weeks.

Opioid Overdose
A Canning-area man nearly died from an opioid overdose recently. Crews responded after a 911 call about the 32-year-old being unresponsive after taking hydromorphone. Medics gave him Naloxone to block its effects, and he was treated in hospital afterwards.
