The case of five universities against the NSTU is on in court. Acadia, Cape Breton, Mount Saint Vincent, StFX and Sainte-Anne filed against the teachers union because work-to-rule is freezing out education students. Their practicums are affected and they might not graduate, with the schools saying this is a violation of the Education Act.

Husband of Lena Diab going for pyschiatric assessment in assault case
Immigration Minister Lena Diab’s husband will have a psychiatric assessment. Maroun Diab is accused of assaulting and threatening her on New Year’s Eve, with other counts involving other people. He’s due back in court March 8th.
