Diesel Spill in Chester Harbour
A diesel spill in the Chester harbour has left residents dealing with a strong odour and tainted water. The owners of pleasure yacht from the US reported a pipe leak to the Canadian Coast Guard on Thursday. The Coast guard initially used absorbent padding to try to clean up what it could but the strong smell and sheen on the water remains. No further cleanup of the spill is planned and the remaining diesel will be left to dissipate on its own.
