The Brent Hawkes trial is back on today in Kentville, with the accused himself taking the stand. The well-known Toronto pastor is charged with indecent assault and gross indecency, for alleged incidents in the 70s when he lived in the Annapolis Valley.

Securities Commission warns about Magnum Options
The Nova Scotia Securities Commission is cautioning about Magnum Options, which is offering binary options via an online trading platform. It also appears to go by the name of Hampshire Capital Ventures, but isn’t registered to sell securities in the province. At least one Nova Scotian created an account on the company’s website using a credit card, and subsequently lost money.
