Missing Halifax girl Alicia McInnis

Police need your help finding a missing Halifax girl.  17-year-old Alicia Michelle McInnis was last seen Sunday afternoon, leaving a residence in the 2400 block of Robie Street.  She’s white, 5’8″, 125 pounds with brown eyes, long brown hair and tattoos on each wrist. She wore a red jacket, tan boots, grey striped leggings and carried a blue backpack.

Refugee group touts how Chester bakery benefitted after rule changes

A Nova Scotia refugee group says Ruwad Al Badin a good example of how Canadians can benefit from refugees.

Al Badin is a specialist in French pastries, which is just the kind of employee that Julien’s bakery in Chester needed after a federal rule change made it harder to import chefs from France.

He is now supporting his family and helping the rural business that had been struggling keep local people employed.
