It’s not just dead herring washing ashore on the beaches of St. Mary’s Bay anymore. Dead starfish, scallops, crabs and other creatures were found dead on a beach near Plympton in Digby County over the holidays.
DFO is still investigating and still mystified as to what’s killing all the sealife.
The name of a 59 year old woman, killed in a house fire Monday night in Whitney Pier, still hasn’t been released.
A man in his 50s was treated for minor injuries after getting out of the house. There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire…but the house had to be torn down because of the damage.
