101 twinning in Windsor area could face court challenge

The provincial and federal governments could face legal action over the twinning of Highway 101 between the Three Mile Plains and Falmouth exits.

Friends of the Avon River are planning legal action saying the main issue is the Avon River causeway which will remain in place and continue to block salmon. Chair Sonja Wood told Nova News Now her group could sue multiple departments, both provincially and federally.

Three injured in 104 accident

Three people were taken to hospital after a two car crash on Highway 104 in Merland, Antigonish County.

A vehicle driven by a 52 year old man was travelling east when he was hit from behind by another car. RCMP say that 32 year old driver is being investigated for impaired driving. The two drivers and a 28 year old passenger in the second car were taken to hospital….their injuries not life-threatening. All three are from Antigonish County.
