Police have charged a man and woman with drug offences after a traffic stop last week.

Three people were taken into custody after the stop at Highfield Park Drive and Victoria Road. Then police searched a residence on Isleville Street and seized crack and a replica handgun.

Now 28 year old Maurice Sinclaire Parris and a 25 year old woman, from Halifax, are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking./

Cineplex will be building a new theatre in Halifax…at the IWK.

It has announced plans to convert an auditorium at the hospital into a theatre where chilren and parents can watch movies for free beginning in May. It’ll also serve as a meeting and presentation space as well as be used or the annual telethon.
