According to the Restigouche River Watershed Management Council, Atlantic salmon stocks are below conservation levels in most of the Restigouche system.

That applies to all tributaries of the Restigouche, except for the Main Restigouche.

That is explained by the salmon having moved to other tributaries to spawn.

A second rezoning request for a building that used to be the Restigouche Valley Church in Campbellton, is back on hold.

Restigouche Property Management bought the building at 9 Water Street, and applied to have the land rezoned to allow their property maintenance and general contracting business to be located there.

Then, the owners again asked council to rezone the land to allow rental space for a cafe, bakery or small restaurant, which is banned by the current zoning.
