Three Rothesay men are being called heroes for helping a woman fend off an attacker. Brandon Childs, Keith Bishop and Erik Pitre stepped in to stop an assault behind a Hampton Road business. They told CBC they were working at KV Rentals when they noticed a man and woman in an altercation in the woods.

45 year old Christopher Albert Belyea of Saint John faces assault and possession of marijuana. He’s due for a bail hearing on the 13th.

The Restigouche River Watershed Management Council says salmon stocks are below conservation levels in most of the system.

That applies to all tributaries except for the Main Restigouche.

The salmon haved moved on to other tributaries to spawn.
