NB Power finished 2016-17’s third quarter with year-to-date earnings of $44 million. That was up $39 million over the same period the previous year. The utility also said the cost of the January storm is still being tallied, which saw about 600 poles broken.

First female NB Liquor board chair announced
The first female chair has been announced for the NB Liquor Board of Directors. Rachelle Gagnon of Moncton has been a board member since 2013, and held many senior positions on boards and associations federally and provincially. She’s currently vice-president of Administration and Customer Experience with Assumption Life.
