New Brunswick public libraries are giving out free admission to Village Historique Acadien during Provincial French Pride Week. It runs Sunday-next Saturday, with members able to sign out one free pass valid between June 11th and September 30th. The living history museum in Bertrand recreates the daily lives of Acadians from 1770 to 1949.

NB Women’s Council pleased with new Human Rights Act legislation
The New Brunswick Women’s Council is pleased that the province has updated the Human Rights Act. New legislation protects gender identity and expression, and family status. The council says New Brunswick was the last Canadian jurisdiction to add the latter to its list of prohibited grounds for discrimination.
