A man from Memramcook has been arrested in connection with millions of dollars worth of stolen cargo. 53-year-old Ralph Leblanc turned himself into the RCMP in Shediac on Thursday after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest along with two men from Quebec. The warrants were issued after police raided six locations in Quebec and New Brunswick and recovered more than 3-million-dollars worth of stolen goods. Police say they began tracking the theft ring after a million-dollars worth of Lobster was stolen from a trailer in Grande-Anse last July. Leblanc was transferred into the custody of the Quebec Provincial Police and made his first court appearance on Friday.

Spike in Moncton Suicides

There were only 22 deaths a year earlier. Albert Cyr is chair of the mental health community advisory committee for Vitalité Health Network. Cyr told CBC the spike in suicides needs to be investigated to see if there’s a problem with people accessing services.
