Fire at Fredericton Health Centre

A fire broke out at the Victoria Health Centre in Fredericton on Friday. The CBC reports the fire broke out around 12:20pm. It’s believed construction workers using a torch accidently caused the fire inside a wall – sending smoke throughout the building. The building was evacuated and no one was hurt as firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

New Oncology Clinic Opens in Miramichi

The Miramichi Regional Hospital celebrated the grand opening of a new oncology clinic on Friday. The new 4-thousand-square foot clinic will provided improved access and care to cancer patients in the region. The new clinic was made possible thanks to 125-thousand-dollars from the Horizon Health Network and 180-thousand-dollars from the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation.
