NBCC has been honoured for its work bringing attention to murdered and missing Indigenous women. Gertrude Nicholas and Marlene Ward of Red Teepee Creations created seven wooden Feathers of Understanding, which were presented at a ceremony today in Fredericton. The college holds annual Sisters in Spirit vigils at all campuses, and has the Aboriginal Bursary among its efforts.

Bacchus Motorcycle Club of NB member arrested in Charlottetown
A member of the Bacchus Motorcycle Club of New Brunswick has been arrested in Charlottetown. He was allegedly seen carrying a cane with a hidden sword into a bikers’ meeting this past Saturday. The 59-year-old faces weapons charges, and is due in court in May.
