Local roadwork projects

Campbellton-Dalhousie MLA Donald Arseneault has confirmed that over 1.5-million dollars of roadwork on designated highways will be done in the area.

In Charlo, the last 2.1 kilometers that needs to be finished on Route 134 will be done.

Paving will be done in Dalhousie on Renfrew Street from Blanchard to Dillon Avenue, which is also part of Route 134.

In Campbellton, 1.1 kilometers will be paved on Val d’Amour Road.

The New Brunswick government is getting ready as the Trudeau liberals will soon announce legislation to legalize marijuana could come into affect as early as July of 2018.

It will be up to New Brunswick to set a minimum age to buy pot, where it will be sold; and for how much.

A course about medical marijuana production will also be added to the curriculum at the province’s community college in 2017.
