UNB and Parks Canada have teamed up to offer a bioarchaeology field program in Cape Breton this summer. It’ll document, protect and preserve 18th-century burial grounds at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, which are threatened by coastal erosion. Students will help provide new insights into the population’s health and well-being during an important period in Canada’s history.

Admits to fraud rather than trial
A Dalhousie woman has admitted to fraud instead of being tried. 46-year-old Ida Lynn Godin was charged with theft over $5000 and fraudulent use of a credit card. The former was withdrawn, and she pleaded guilty to the latter. The incident happened around a year and a half ago, and she’ll be sentenced June 20th.
