Three years for two NB Liquor robberies

A Campbellton man has been sentenced for robbing an NB Liquor twice in two hours.  25-year-old Daniel Austin Perry took two bottles of gin from the Campbellton store on February 27th, 2016.  He also punched a police officer at the station, and faced a count for that.  He got three years, but credit for time served gives him 22 months left.

Campbellton booze case to go before Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Canada will weigh in on the case of cross-border alcohol limits.  A provincial court tossed out charges against Gerard Comeau of Tracadie after he was caught coming back from Quebec with more than the 12 out-of-province pints New Brunswick allows.  The Supreme Court has granted the Gallant government’s application for leave to appeal.
