A Campbellton man’s preliminary inquiry for sex offences involving a minor will be in December. 66-year-old Donat Paulin faces invitation to sexual touching, making sexually explicit material available to someone under 16, luring a child and exposure. They’re alleged to have happened between June 2015 and April 2016.

Gaspé Mi’gmaq communities drop lawsuit over proposed Chaleur Terminals project
Three Gaspé Mi’gmaq communities have dropped a federal lawsuit aimed at stopping Chaleur Terminals’ oil-by-rail project. They believe it threatens their traditional lands and waters, and the Tribune reports their opposition will continue in other ways. The project would have two trains bring oil to the Port of Belledune daily, where it would be stored before being shipped out to sea.
