Right whale worries in NB

Prime Minister Trudeau told The Canadian Press that the recent deaths of eight North Atlantic right whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence is “extremely concerning.”

He’s asked the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to investigate.

Some of the whales had marks of blunt trauma, suggesting they may have collided with ships, while others died after becoming entangled in fishing gear.
