The Ontario Provincial Police say a man from Moncton has been seriously injured in a car crash in that province. The OPP say the 24-year-old Moncton man was the most seriously injured of four people hurt when a vehicle and tractor trailer collided in Marathon, Ontario on Friday morning. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Power Restored on Acadian Peninsula
Power has now been restored to all customers on the Acadian Peninsula following Thursday’s violent thunderstorm. 90 customers in all had still been without power at noon on Saturday. 23 homes in Grand Anse saw the lights come back on shortly after that while the remaining 67 customers in Pokeshaw had service restored early Saturday evening. More than 4,000 customers had been without power the day before after the severe storm which brought possible tornadoes to the area.
