Three New Brunswick Regions Rank Among Worst in Income

A new report on wages ranks three economic regions of New Brunswick as being among the lowest in average income. The Statistics Canada 2016 wage survey report ranked the Edmunston-Woodstock region as having the lowest average income in all of Canada at $19.40 per hour. The Miramichi-Campbellton region ranked the second worst on the list at an average hourly salary of $21.30 per hour. The Moncton-Richiboucto also made the list of the ten lowest average income economic areas of Canada, at sixth worst with an average wage worth $21.75 per hour. The list of the highest wage earning economic regions was dominated by Alberta, with six of it’s seven economic regions making the top ten.

90-Year-Old Man Missing in South Eastern NB

RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a 90-year-old man was reported missing in South Eastern New Brunswick. Herbert Carter, of Killam Mills, was last seen in the area of Monteagle Road, near Salisbury, on Tuesday. Anyone who may have seen Mr. Carter or his vehicle is asked to contact the RCMP. Carter is described as having greyish-white hair, blue eyes and a medium build. His car is described as a green 2005 Ford Taurus with the New Brunswick licence plate GPK 277.
