A food truck avoids Campbellton

The Bangkok Food Truck made yet another recent stop in the area, but stayed out of Campbellton again due to the city’s demand that it pay $500 an hour for up to 10 hours a day for a transient trader’s licence.

Instead, it was in Atholville during the afternoon and evening on June 18th.

On June 17th, it was at the Restigouche Farmers’ Market; then in the Listuguj First Nation later that afternoon.

A murderer is going to marry a New Brunswick man

Convicted killer Luka Rocco Magnotta is getting married this month to a New Brunswicker.

The man who killed and dismembered Chinese student Jun Lin in 2012 will marry a male inmate from Saint John, Anthony Jolin; on June 26th at a penitentiary in Quebec.

In June of 2015, Magnotta was on a matchmaking website for prisoners; looking for, quote:  his “prince charming.”

The ad was removed at Magnotta’s request in July of that year after the site’s creator said she got a letter saying he had found what he was looking for.
