A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to having a gun when crossing the border into Canada. 67-year-old William Michael Lanigan had a loaded Smith and Wesson revolver at the St. Stephen crossing on May 20th. He told officers he forgot he had the gun at first, and has been fined $1500 and banned from Canada.

Pay equity coming for NB Union education, health workers
The province has approved the implementation of pay equity adjustments for employees in three groups represented by the New Brunswick Union. Professional support workers in schools, specialized health care professionals and medical science professionals are getting a commitment that equates to $8.4 million over 10 years.
