The South Cumberland ER in Parrsboro will be closed today (Friday) due to a doctor shortage.

It’ll be closed from 8:30am-8:30 pm.

International Women’s Day will be celebrated at the Amherst Lions Community Centre today.

A luncheon will take place from noon til 1:30, featuring chili, soup and cake; raffle tickets, door prizes; and a 50/50 draw.

Admission is free, but a donation to Autumn House will be appreciated.
