Pictou County RCMP have arrested a man who allegedly fled a checkstop last month in Alma. The 18-year-old faces dangerous driving, driving while suspended, fleeing police and assaulting an officer after one was dragged by a vehicle. He’s due back in court May 1st.

24 year old Charles Hicks of Cambridge Court in Amherst, was fined 13 hundred dollars and banned from driving for a year after pleading guilty of driving with a blood-alcohol concentration over .08 per cent.
The incident occurred on January 6th in Amherst Point.
