Mount A mental health project

Mount A University will field-test a postsecondary mental health initiative.

The Pathway through Mental Health Care for Postsecondary Settings means that postsecondary students in New Brunswick will be able to get improved mental health literacy and on-campus mental health care.

After accidents, suicide is the second leading cause of death for people aged 15 to 34.

NS classroom conditions

The council of classroom conditions has wrapped up its first set of meetings with a number of recommendations.

Set up as part of the legislated contract on teachers, the council helkd three days of meetings this week and came up with 18 recommendations.

They include things like giving teachers two days to respond to parent’s emails so classroom time isn’t disrupted and making changes to attendance policies.

Dartmouth High school teacher Michael Cosgrove told the CBC ultimately time will tell.  Teachers, students; parents, and Nova Scotians will be the judge of it.
