Vanity Plate

The province has told a Dartmouth man his vanity license plate has to go. Lorne Grabher has had a plate with his last name since the 90s, but has been told people could misinterpret that as what Donald Trump was recorded saying about women. A complaint came in, so the Registry of Motor Vehicles has disallowed the plate.

Water Bills

Water bills are going up in Parrsboro. The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has approved a 10.8% rate bump for this year, as well as 6% next year and 7.6% the year after. For example, the most common rate of $54.34 per quarter will hit $81.71 per quarter after these hikes.
