An annual report card by Nova Scotia dentists says more than a third of kids have cavities by the age of six. The Nova Scotia Dental Association says they should go for a first dental visit within six months of the first tooth appearing or age one, and start using an infant toothbrush and get help with flossing.

Probation for breaches, not attending court
An Amherst woman has been given 60-days probation for three offences. 60-year-old Patricia Diane Paris pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a recognizance, and failure to attend court.
