The province is providing $1.6 million to add four new radio towers to the network used by public safety agencies and volunteers. They’ll be in River John, Port Mouton, Springhill, and Gore. These sites were assessed and selected as priority areas for the network, with the range for coverage about 35 kilometres from the tower site.

Doctors Nova Scotia has released 11 recommendations to help fix the provincial healthcare system. They include doctors getting to choose their type of practice, and the Department of Health and Wellness and Health Authority working with the organization to create a blended payment model.
