Two tidal power projects get funding from competition

Two projects will get funding through a joint research competition sponsored by the Offshore Energy Research Association of Nova Scotia, Department of Energy and INNOVACORP.  Open Seas Instrumentation of Musquodoboit Harbour was awarded $135,000, and JASCO Applied Sciences of Dartmouth $65,000.  Both tidal power environmental monitoring projects are based in the Bay of Fundy.

Memramcook to host volunteer appreciation night

The Village of Memramcook will host a volunteer appreciation night this coming Tuesday.  Arts and Culture, Sports and Leisure, and Social Volunteer Work categories will see honourees inducted into the Volunteer Recognition Wall.  The event starts at 7 Tuesday night at the Knights of Columbus building.
