The girl who was hit by a tractor in Clementsvale didn’t make it. Its operator didn’t see the seven-year-old in the hay field being mowed, and hit her around 6:50 Wednesday evening. She was taken to a Halifax hospital with serious injuries, and passed away last evening.

Valley drone incursion
The RCMP are investigating after a drone flew over an emergency scene in Avonport. Crews were at a single-vehicle accident on the 101 Monday afternoon, and a helicopter pilot noticed the drone flying very close. The proximity was of great concern to responders. Transport Canada has rules for drones, and breaking them could see fines or jail time.
