PC leader Jamie Baillie has unveiled the Rebuild Nova Scotia Fund. It would invest $2 billion – split provincially and federally – on roads, bridges and other public infrastructure while maintaining the province’s debt-to-GDP ratio at its current level. The budget would also stay balanced.

NS GDP up in 2016
Only two provinces and one territory didn’t see real GDP growth in 2016. Stats Can says Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories went down. Nova Scotia went up 0.9%, while the national number was 1.3%.
