The price of lobster looks to be going up. The shore cost from the Northumberland Strait is expected to be between $7-$7.50 a pound, although nothing is official yet. Processors and buyers were paying about $6.50 a pound at the start of last year.

NDP outlines plan for post-secondary tuition
NDP leader Gary Burrill has rolled out his plan for post-secondary tuition. He’d eliminate NSCC’s tuition, and reduce university tuition by 10%. It would cost $39.5 million a year, including $30 million to eliminate college tuition for current enrolment levels.
