It’s graduation day at Mount Allison University. 425 students have their degrees, and today marks the final grad for Chancellor Peter Mansbridge. The legendary broadcaster’s term ends in December, with Mount A having given him one of his several honourary degrees.

Police to Join Cape Breton Pride Parade
Police officers will be taking part in this year’s Cape Breton Pride parade. There’s been an issue of police in uniforms marching in Pride parades elsewhere in Canada – Including the region’s largest parade in Halifax. Pride Cape Breton co-chair Patrick MacNeil says they reached an agreement with police over their participation in the Parade after collaboration with members of the group Black Lives Matter and the L-G-B-T-Q community. The Parade will be held August 5th. Officers will have the option of wearing their uniforms or not.
