Another NS candidate dropped

Another candidate has dropped out of the election race because of online postings, making it one each for the three major parties.

Jad Crnogorac, the PC candidate in Dartmouth South, was dropped by the Tories because of multiple Tweets about a date rape drug.  Conservaive leader Jamie Baillie said when it comes to things like rape culture and making jokes about it, that crosses a line.

Crnogorac said she shouldn’t have posted the jokes, but told CTV she was treated differently than another Tory candidate Matt Whitman who was also criticized over social media postings.

Halifax crash report

The Transportation Safety Board will release its report tomorrow into the crash landing at the Halifax airport in 2015.

Over two dozen people were injured when an Air Canada flight hit the ground 200 metres short of the runway, bounced and then came to rest after sliding down the runway.  Passengers were left standing out in the cold for almost an hour before they were rescued.  Many have joined a class-action lawsuit in connection with the crash.
