Kingston Firefighters Faced Unknown Risk in Possible Arson Case

Valley Firefighters say their lives were put in danger when they responded to a suspicious fire near Kingston last weekend. Kingston Fire Chief Waston Armstrong tells the CBC that firefighters were completely unaware of a large deep pit behind a vacant house that burned overnight last weekend in Torbrook. firefighters only noticed the hole the next morning. RCMP are investigating the fire as a possible arson case and say they are trying to identify a man seen in the area around the time of the fire.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in New Glasgow

A 26-year-old man driving a motorcycle was airlifted to a Halifax hospital in critical condition after a three vehicle collision in New Glasgow on Friday evening. Police say the motorcycle collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction that was attempting to make a left turn. The driver of car travelling behind the truck also suffered non-life threatening injuries in the collision.
