The Amherst Ramblers recently held the club’s annual meeting.
President Andrew Reid told the Citizen-Record the closed session dealt solely with the club’s finances, adding that the club is in good financial shape, having paid all its bills and its long-term debt in the form of a loan taken out several years ago.
The pilot managed to walk away from the crash of an ultralight plane on the south shore, or rather climb down from the top of a tree.
The Transportation Safety Board and Transport Canada are incvestigating after the plane ended up in the top of a Hemlock Tree shortly after taking off from the airfield in Greenfield. The pilot wasn’t injured. There’s no word on the cause of the crash.
