Police arrested a man and seized drugs after searching a home on Annapolis Valley First Nation on June 7.

As part of an ongoing investigation, Police executed a search warrant on a home on Ratchford Rd. and seized marijuana and “Shatter”,

A 30-year-old man from Annapolis Valley First Nation was arrested without incident and faces two charges. He is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on July 18.

Officials are investigating the seizure of dozens of pills at the Springhill Institution.

The Correctional Service of Canada says packages were seized last week at the medium security federal institution in Springhill. They found 22 Dilaudid pills, 80 Lorazapam pills and marijuana.

The service says police have been notified of the seizure.
