Public libraries across Nova Scotia are hosting a series of programs, activities and reading clubs all summer long for children, teens and families. According to the Amherst Rotary Club, the Cliffs of Fundy global geopark is getting closer to reality.
The draft nomination application will be given to the Canadian National Committee for Geoparks next spring and could be sent to UNESCO later in 2019.
If that goes through, the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark could be approved in early 2020.
Geoparks are designed to promote geotourism and celebrate a region’s uniqueness.
